Mondello, super-close to Palermo, is where the city dwellers have escaped to for generations. This luxury attractive, contemporary, single-storey holiday villa is on a narrow residential street away from the main centre – a real oasis off the maze of busy streets. Behind the high wall are lush gardens of citrus trees, olive trees and exotic pines, a summer kitchen too. And outside is where you’ll be, on the big wide terrace and shady lawns.
Inside all is light, spacious and spotless – the feel is of a relaxed family home, with painted wooden beams and comfortable sofas. The kitchen is white, blue and charming, and all you need for your first breakfast awaits in the fridge. The cottage is on the far side of the garden and is equally delightful; the master bedroom is in a new perfect little separate building.
Laze in the beautiful pool or head for popular Mondello – its beach is a broad sweep of soft sand dotted with deckchairs, parasols, ice cream stalls and laid-back bars. In winter art and culture emerge.
Palermo is historic and fascinating town and next year 2018 it will be cultural capital.

Mondello beach is famous for its white sand and always clear sea. Easily accessible from the Moro you can go either in the equipped part (with deck chairs umbrellas etc,) or in the free part.
For those who love the nature there is the famous Capo di Gallo’s reserve with cliffs and coves. It’s possible to rent a dinghy to sail along the coast or diving at the diving center.
Guests of the Moro House can complimentary visit our family’s private Palazzo Alliata di Pietratagliata: an historical 15th century Palazzo like that described in the Gattopardo novel.
The Arab-Norman itinerary (UNESCO World Heritage Site): the Royal Palace with its magnificent chapel, the Martorana and San Cataldo churches and the Duomo of Monreale.
Do not miss Serpotta’s Baroque Oratories sculptures’: Santissimo Rosario, Santa Cita, San Lorenzo.
In the typical Capo food market visit the spectacular mix marbel Barocco church of Immacolatae.
Not far from the town of Palermo, all at about 50km from the Moro house: the Greek temple of Segesta, the Fenitian island of Mothia, Erice, Trapani, Cefalù leaves visitors spellbound.
